Dorset Legal Awards shortlist announced!

ASH Elite, Dorset’s only specialist Legal Recruitment consultancy, in partnership with QuoStar, a leading Bournemouth-based IT consultancy, has announced the final shortlist for the first Dorset Legal Awards.

Following the launch of the Awards in May 2017, over 210 nominations were made across 25 law firms. These nominations were then individually scored by the judging panel and a final shortlist of 43 finalists made. In total, 13 winners will be crowned across three different categories: individual awards, team awards and firm-wide awards. In addition, a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award will be announced on the night.

The finalists will now be judged in person by the independent panel of notable legal and business professionals including John Knowles, former Chairman of DEK; John Ainsworth, retired District Judge; barrister Elizabeth McGrath QC and Darren Slade, Business and Technology Editor of the Bournemouth Daily Echo.

The finalists and their firms will attend a black-tie awards ceremony on 23 February 2018 where the winners will be announced.

QuoStar’s CEO, Robert Rutherford, comments:
“We have been overwhelmed by the amount of nominations the first Dorset Legal Awards has received. We work with many firms in this sector and recognise the hard work and dedication these organisations put into their business. The Dorset Legal Awards is an opportunity for these businesses to be recognised for their achievements and to highlight the amazing work the industry is doing in the South West region.”

ASH Elite’s Managing Director, Sofie Scott, comments:
“With over 200 SRA regulated law practices and over 1000 qualified legal professionals in the county, we wanted to create a platform where we can celebrate the many achievements and the fantastic talent we have here. We are so excited to see so many firms and individuals engage with the awards, and we can’t wait to announce the winners on the night!”
