Celebrate the beginning of Christmas at Weymouth’s BIG Christmas Lighting-up Celebration on Friday 1st December and make the most of Christmas in Weymouth with FREE PARKING from 3pm every day in WPBC town centre car parks from 1st December until 31st December.  Christmas Entertainment starts at 2pm - full programme on line at weareweymouth.co.uk/christmas

Enjoy the entertainment from 2pm including dance troupes, choirs, singers, a Santa parade and more. Meet the cast from this year’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, and join in the countdown to the BIG Christmas light switch-on at 6pm, when the Weymouth’s Christmas tree and town lights will be turned on by the Mayor of Weymouth & Portland and the Panto cast.  Christmas stalls featuring mulled wine, hot chocolate, hot chestnuts, candyfloss tubs, sweets and the Cider Flagon Wagon will also be in town.

Don’t miss the special opening day ‘£5 FRIDAY’ ice skating offer on the Real Ice Rink, which will be open for all to skate the night away. Be the first to step on the REAL ice and pay only five pounds for a 45-minute skate session.   Located in New Bond Street the Ice Rink will be open every day (except Christmas Day) from the 1st December- 1st January 2018.

Following the arrival of Santa and his parade, he will take up residency in his grotto in Cineworld where you can find him every December weekend and three days leading up to Christmas Day. Be greeted by his friendly elves and meet Santa in his cosy lounge grotto. Tickets now available on line or on the door £5.

Weymouth’s BIG Christmas celebrations will continue on Saturday 2nd December when the town links to the national retail initiative of Small Business Saturday.   Parking will be FREE all day on Saturday, in WPBC town centre car parks, visitors are advised to look out for the signs in car parks taking part in the offer.

Revel in the Christmas spirit and make a day of it - meet Santa, skate on the rink, shop by the sea in Weymouth’s range of high street and boutique stores, enjoy Weymouth in winter then relax in one of the town’s cafes, bars or restaurants.  Don’t miss Carols around the Christmas Tree on Sunday 17th December, Silent Disco sessions on the ice on 9th and 16th December and our special ‘Space to Skate’ sessions for families who like the rink to be a little less crowded.
